The DI-r application provides a consolidated single patient jacket across multiple RIS/PACS environments. This application connects many systems, providing one point of access for diagnostic imaging in Southwestern Ontario.
SWO DI-r has facilitated the sharing of Radiology images and reports between all hospitals in LHIN’s 1, 2, 3 & 4 as well as several Independent Health Facilities (IHF). This repository provides great value to patients who have multiple procedures at different facilities.

The Hub Collaboration call is a group of representatives, from hospitals and independent health facilities, spanning across Southwestern Ontario who meet 5 times a year to discuss topics that impact or pertain to the Southwestern Ontario Diagnostic Imaging Repository (SWODIR). The meeting is hosted by the SWODIR representatives and the agenda is structured by a terms of reference document. The scope of the meeting is to collaborate on processes, workflows, establish guidelines, best practices and review service level goals as it relates to the SWODIR.
